Renovering af et fredet spildevandsanlæg
It soon became clear that the listed Esslingen canal was undergoing genuine structural preservation. A listed canal, parts of which are up to 800 years old, is being comprehensively renovated – a project that combines historic structural integrity with modern concrete repair techniques.
As part of the renovation, precast elements are being professionally installed to renew the canal section by section. A key step is the complete re-profiling of the bed to ensure the long-term stability and functionality of the canal.
Our PAGEL R20/10 rapid repair mortar is being used for this purpose. Around 100 tonnes of this material were used in this construction project. This ensures a resilient surface and supports a long-lasting repair, even under demanding conditions in the existing structure.
Such projects demonstrate how important high-quality materials and meticulous workmanship are for heritage conservation.
